Program details

Duration: 90 Hours _ 2 Hours/Day

Stage 1:

Mastercam Design(2D & 3D)

Basics, Wire frame Modeling, Surface Modeling and Solid Modeling etc. as per training plan. Practice Exercises.

Test and Feedback.

Stage 2:

Mastercam - Mill  (2D & 3D)

Various Toolpath Creation , Regeneration, Backplot, Verification(Simulation) & Post Processing etc. as per training plan. Practice Exercises.

Test and Feedback.

Stage 3:

Mastercam - Lathe

Various toolpath creation, Regeneration, Backplot, Verification and Post Processing etc. as per plan.

Practice Exercises.

Admission Procedure:

An application is to be filled in by the candidate along with photocopy of college ID, Photo copy of eligibility certificate and 3 Passport size photos.

Eligibility:

Diploma/Degree/PG - Mechanical Engineering.

Certification:

After satisfactory completion. Student Must Qualify 3 stage tests(Theory+Practical+Viva). Feedback compulsory at the end of every stage.

Long term:

Online Training

 

Duration: 2 Hours/Day – 5 Days/Week - Upto 3 Months.

Week end classes for Employees.

 

Content:

Introduction to Multi Axis Machines and Multi Axis Programming.

Introduction to Mill Multi Axis ToolPaths.

Import a Part file or Open existing part file.

Selection of Machine and creating stock setup.

Creating Control lines, Curves and Control Points for Tool Axis Control.

Selection of Mill_Multiaxis ToolPaths.

Creation of New Tools.

 

Creating Toolpaths:

Classic: - Curve, Swarf, Flow, MSurf, Port and Rotary.

Wireframe: - Morph between two curves, Parallel to multiple curves, Cuts along curves, Project curves.

Surface/Solid: - Parallel to surfaces, Parallel cuts, Morph between two surfaces, Triangular mesh, Swarf milling and Multiaxis roughing.

Drill and Circle Mill

Tool Box: - Convert to 5 axis, Impeller blade Swarf finishing, and Impeller Floor surface, Impeller floor surface without tilt curve, Projection, Cavity tilt curve, Cavity collision control curve, Electrode machining 4+1 axis and blade root roughing.

Exercises covering all Toolpaths.

CNC Part Programming

Inroduction

CNC programming is the procedure by which the sequence of operations to be performed on CNC Machines for manufacturing a part. Preparation of CNC programming involves three phases, which are setup phase, metal removal phase and system shutdown phase. Each phase has got its own importance.

Every phase of CNC programming is constructed with different blocks, each block contains words with special symbols, numbers, letters, G-Codes, M- codes and Cartesian coordinates(x, y, z) and their values depending on the part drawing, part material, available cutting tools, inserts and machine controller. Each block is separated by end of block symbol.

CNC Programming manually suitable for non complex/simple shapes. It begins with careful study of part drawing. Manual programming method involves calculation of coordinates of various points of tool path of a profile. Other advanced programming techniques like   R-Parameters, Blue Print programming are incorporated with in CNC Machines controllers by machine tool manufacturer. These advanced techniques are much useful for repetitive shapes with various dimensions.

Part Programming - Manual - As per Plan.

Introduction, Different phases of programming, Program structure, Block format, Block elements, Word format, Character set, Coordinate system, Preparatory functions and its application, Dimension system, Work piece dimension, MPF, SPF, LF, Dwell and its applications. Miscellaneous and Auxiliary functions. Linear and circular interpolation. Introduction to basics of CNC Machining, Reference point,Zero offsets and Tool offsets etc. Practice exercises for non complex Profiles.

Stage 2:

Advanced Programming Techniques - As per plan.

A) Parametric Programming: Introduction and area of applications. Definitions and calculations etc. Writing parametric programs and practice exercises.
